| The Town of Oro Valley has two 18-hole city-owned golf courses – ‘The El Conquistador‘, the Community Center, the Town Hall, the Public Library, and Oro Valley’s extensive walking/cycling paths, all located within easy walking distance from our community. Naranja Park is located only a 10-minute bike ride/ 4-minute car ride away. The park is home to four multi-use fields, an archery range, dog parks, the Sonoran Desert Flyers and ramadas available for reservations. Riverfront Park is located only an 11-minute bike ride/ 5-minute car ride away. The park includes walking trails, tennis and basketball courts, shaded playground equipment as well as an equestrian staging area. | In addition to the Town’s amenities, two state parks are located nearby: Catalina State Park is only a six mile drive to the east. This park can also be reached by a bicycle path. Oracle State Park, formerly known as the Kannally Ranch, is twenty-eight miles to the northeast, about a 40-minute drive, off of AZ-77. This park has hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Almost every trail in Oracle State Park is dog friendly. Mt. Lemmon, atop the Catalina Range, is 54 miles to the east, about an hour and 45 minutes drive from our community. At 9,157 feet, the summit is cloaked in a mixed-conifer forest, with aspen groves sprinkled throughout. There are numerous hiking and mountain biking trails to explore. Atop the mountain, the Town of Summerhaven provides lodging, shopping and dining opportunities year round. |
